Computerized Image Analysis

  Microscopy is frequently used as a means of particle size analysis. In keeping with our commitment to provide with world class abrasive powders we have procured sophisticated Image Analysis software to analyze and understand our powders better. Modern image analysis procedures permit large numbers of particles to be counted automatically. Typical image analysis methods involve scanning and digitizing microscope images by means of video cameras and using thresholding techniques to distinguish between particles and background. Projected areas, perimeters, and various "diameters" can be obtained from the digital information.

• Percent Area Measures the percentage area, per threshold, of area-type objects.

• Luminance Surface Plotting Creates 3-D views based on luminance.
• Surveillance and Motion Detection Detects objects crossing camera's field of view.
